Q: What does OEM stand for?

A: OEM stands for original equipment manufacture. For example, HP and DELL are OEM.



Q: What is the warranty on parts that are installed in my computer, printer or plotter?

A: The warranty is 30 days on parts and labor



Q: Why use OEM parts instead of third party parts?

A: You should always use OEM parts instead of third party parts because third party parts do not meet the manufacture standards and do not last their cycle. For some machines with discontinued parts, third party or used parts may be used.



Q: What is your service coverage area?

A: Our service call area is the South Bay Cities.  Additional rates apply for out of area.



Q: What are your hours of operation?

A: Our hours of operation are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm



Q: What days of the week are you open?

A: We are open Monday through Friday. However, you can email us at any time at john@businessmachinescenter.com



Q: Can you do Hewlett Packard or Dell warranty work?

A: No, we are a Dell partner and our techs are HP Certified but we do not receive reimbursement for any warranty work. We can assist you by contacting HP or Dell for you. A minimum charge applies.



Q: Do you service printers?

A: Yes, we service all models from all manufacturers. It is recommended that your printers receive preventive maintenance at least once per year to prolong the life of the equipment.  We do not stock printer parts so our promise of low downtime may not apply.



Q: Why is preventive maintenance needed for my laptop or desktop computer?

A: It is recommended that your computer receive preventive maintenance twice a year to prolong the life of the equipment. The fans draw air to cool the processor and components. Dust and debris collect and clog the heat sinks preventing air flow and overheating.  Do your part, keep your desktop computer at least 6" off the floor to prevent dust from foot traffic.



Q: What is a user maintenance kit?

A: A user maintenance kit includes fuser and all rollers. The user maintenance code will show on the display when it is time for this service to be performed.
